For those who do not know, In america you arerequireto take a "collegeentranceexam" Which i cannot pass even if my life depended on it. I took the test backJulyof '08 I failed terrible. I got a 11 out of apossible40. 20 is the number that is kinda need to get into a decent college, Or any college for that matter around the states.
I'm 22 (about to turn 23) with no higher educationalexperience, And i really don't wanna picture myself in my 30's still working in a dead-end Overworked, Underpaid job. Which i would rather see death then live with that for the rest of my life resting on my shoulder.
I think the UK has the right idea on the higher education system, You don't have to take no crappy "Enterance exam" All you got to do is have the proper prerequist (if i spelt that right) and you can goto college.
I personally don't see the point in taking a lame enterance exam. I wanna goto college, I'm paying the teachers to teach me the stuff i want to learn, I shouldn't have to prove that i'm illegable to goto their school let-alone ANY college school for that matter. It honestly blow's my mind in tiny peices, It's like solving the life old question: "The purpose of life is a life of purpose." Which seem more like "Want a life of purpose? Take this test. Can't pass it? Well, too bad." This is one of many reason i do not like america, And would like to get out of america, It's falling apart (i know i'm going to about this from Artus) I'm not saying it's soley due to Obama and bush, I know they screw up, but the system is just a load of crap, and they [the system] are only making it worse, It's been falling apart since the 50's, I remember when a time a teacher can hug a child without being accuse of sexual harrassment, but not in this day an age, Back in the 50's and 60's You could hug your student without being accusing of sexual harassment, Now if you did that, Not only would you be branded a sex offender, but also the child would under-go 5 months of rehilbilitation of sexual harassment. The system is messed up, I'm sure everywhere else isn't much better.
I'm sure you guys are asking "What does Asia do for there College Enterance?" They take more of an exam rather then a full-fledged test, What it basically test for like where you stand in term of knowledge of your course you wish to study. That's from my knowledge though, so, i could be wrong on that.
Anyhow, I can understand with those "A+" Type school's but for those who want to just know this and that and not worry about going to the best school money has to offer seems very stupid, Plus, You gotta PAY to take the test. Perfect. Not only do i need to take a test which shouldn't be nessassry, but also i gotta pay for it, and if i fail it, I can't goto college, yet i'm not smart enough to pass it, Which mean i can't goto college, thus meaning i'm going to be a dead-beat for the rest of my life which no way of achieve what i want in life.
I'm sure you guy are thinking: "Maybe you should study and take it again". I remember taking the test some of the question involves like algrebra, Not basic algrebra but advanced crap which i could never learn. It's pretty much college state-side is practically irrelevantto my interest any more.
Sorry for that rant. i better stop or else i won't shut up about this.

So anyways, I'venow think it's time i said screw it, I'm sick of waiting around, doing nothing with my life. I made a bit of a deal with my mother, I told i'd work at the crappy company i use to work for, plus, I'd even work overtime, It wouldn't be a frequent thing, But i would do it alot more often then what i did as long as she would hep me get from point A to point B. I sent her a Email not too long ago, Just waiting for a response. For those who also read my "joining the military" blog, I still have that in interest, But this is more of a "ace in the hole" kinda deal just that doesn't work out, Cause right now my recruiter is onvacationand i don't know when he'll be back nor if he'll even help me with getting into the military cause i couldn't even get the guy to get my medical records from my docter. Infact, my docter had to deliver the medical record to HIM, if i can't even rely on the man to take not even 5 minutes to go to my doctor (which is like 3 block away from the station) and get my record, I can't rely on the guy to get me into the military.
Even if the guy doesn't help me out, I hear there is a army recruiter somewhere in japan i just have to look a bit more on the matter.

Anyways, Back to college thing. I kinda figured if i can get about 5-7K USD i think i can get there with little problem, And i'm more then likly i can find a part-time job somewhere in 1 of the 20 some-odd wards in Tokyo with the little Japanese knowledge that i have. Cause i remember looking on here: https://jobs.gaijinpot.com/jref/thatsome Japanese job company want english speakers, It's actually in demand in tokyo and other places in japan.

Another good reason why i would like to goto college in japan, is not just because i wanna learn japanese while in japan, But also, i think it's about time that i get off my parent leach, I'm 22 still at home, I think it's about time i kinda set myself some independence for myself, Cause i know my parents aren't gonna be around forever, I'm sure they would be more the trilled to see me being a more mature responsible adult, and being where i like to be in the world, I've been wanting to goto japan for at least 6 maybe 7 years now cause i really don't wanna live the "ordinary" life in america, It's just not for me, I would rather live in a more unique life in some forein country rather then live in a place of Greed, Hostility, And dispair that america is heading toward.

Not too many Boomers here creeping around the Point, but just in case I thought I'd post this. I took the Boomer quiz, didn't do too well, think I'm in denial.

How do you know if you're a Boomer? Here's the standard - if you were old enough to serve in the Vietnam War then you're considered a Boomer. Some define it a bit latter, but the purest seem to use the war as the marker.

After WWII, the soldiers came home, they worked hard, a man could work a single job and make enough to raise a family, put his kids through college, and retire with money and property to leave to his children. This "Greatest Generation" left well over a Trillion dollars to its children, in this new generation where has that wealth gone. The new generation, the pit bulls and vultures of Wall Street, Big Oil, and Health Insurance sucking the very life out of the middle class.

End users are not interested in learning how the computer software works, except for how it lets them do their job. On-screen messages, manuals, fax-back systems, wiki pages, they don't care. What they want is to pick up the phone, make a call, and have someone tell them what to do. At first, I thought it was them being lazy. However, I now think it is closer to why programmers don't like to be interrupted in the middle of a task. The user has a mental model built up of their task, and they don't want to risk losing it while they search for information on an error. Making a phone call, and having someone else walk them through the problem solving means they can maintain their task in "main memory". For them, it is more efficient.
