my short review of neosteam

Before I start my short review, let me tell you how mmo games came into my life. Neosteam is the first game that I played. I never thought that I would play any mmo games; I focus on pursuing my studies. But last July, oneof my friend mmo game addict, she played a lot of mmo's. She gives me neosteam as the game she played at that moment. So I tried the game...

Here is my review:

Neosteam is a 3D Sci-Fi MMORPG set in a Steam Punk universe. It consist of 3 nations; republic of Rogwel, Elerd kingdom and Taxzn alliance. Technical force for Rogwel, magical force for elerd and natural force for taxzn.neosteam has 6 races; Elf from elerd, human from rogwel and liel, luife and taroon from Taxzn and 4 classes; fighter for liel, luife,taroon; mage for elf, pom for craftor and rogue for human.

And because I want to experience the magical effect power, my first character was an elf. I enjoyed the game, I level up faster and because of curiosity I tried all the races. And I discovered that each race has special skills. There were many ways how to level up faster, through quest, through grinding, through in game events.

Talking about the quest, from 1-10 quest it was quiet easy but the rest challenged me a lot. When I reached to level 10, a message appears in the screen that I can change my job to a job changer. Changing a job is not that easy to say that I will change my job now but I need to undergone quest in order to change my job. Even though that it was hard for me as first timer, I completed the quest and successfully change it into rune caster. And I can use now powerful skills.

Another interesting part of Neosteam is the event; they have varieties of event, events for level up, grinding, gathering useful items and friendship. I joined the masteral academy event. After the recruitment of the operators at the town, grinding will follow at Terawhale called as training assault event and players must be in a party or guild member for faster leveling.

Another thing that I like the most were neosteam transportation, steam rider for personal use, submarine or subway if I want to transfer to other town, steam balloon for specific places or areas with in the town, and Zeppelin for nation to nation transportation. All of these were powered by neosteam power.

Ambiance or environment of the game, it is amazing, natural based structures and awesome attractions. When I was playing I felt that I am not in virtual world but still in real world.

I like the game but because I don't have any background and interest about mmo games I felt bored sometimes.

Well,

The plumber has just started and the HVAC will be starting installing the heat pump and furnace on the 13th of October. Here is a picture. For reference, the main part of the roof slope is 27' tall with a peak heighth of about 30' off the ground. It is going to be almost 4000 sq ft with a 3 car garage. You can see my new F-150 4x4 which is amost 7' tall in the bottom left corner.

This is my first real attempt at writing a blog, i've had an early 'new years resolution' to write one at least once a week, and then i got thinking.. blog..? what a strange word, but it seems its a shortened version of the two words, 'web log'

So i'm thinking, why not shorten more words into one, for example.

English Literature, could become Eliterature (pronounced, illiterate-ture) However, this would be ironic..

It seems the english language is becoming more and more lazy, more acryonyms are being made and more shortened words.. But some people don't even know what they stand for.. Whats the most common? 'DNA' of course, 68% of people that use 'DNA' in a sentence, when asked, did not know what Deoxyribonucleic acid was..

Is it due to stupidity, or lazniness? or perhaps a mixture of the two.. then if so we should call it 'Stupidness' that sounds about right :D

So another milestone comes and goes in my Spawnpoint life.

A lot has happened recently that made me stop and think about my time in spawnpoint and where I'd like to see the community progress.

The new 100 tick servers have good and bad points. The good points is that my ping has reduced on a few of them and that my hit registry is better on most of them (Although the new UK Fragfest is an enigma my registry sucks on there big time). Bad points are we lost some traffic on the US servers which we need to get back somehow.

Perhaps it's me but....we upgrade the UK servers, change the IP's and servers get busy. we do the same in the US and.....nothing.....server traffic crashes. What is it with The Americas? We get great updated 100 tick servers and no one wants to "migrate it's all really strange???

Also what's it with "ex" community members who deem it necessary to play on our servers and be disrespectful towards our rules, community members, management and owners. I assume the juvenile delinquents involved were aiming for the badge of "global bannedness" so they could run back to the rest of their clan members and brag about it. Pointless behaviour that's just going to cause "friction" between some of their own clan members methinks.

What are we looking for as a community. I know that onlysome of our community traffic comes from the servers and that's why, sometimes, it looks as though the powers that be appear "non-caring" about server problems. I sometimes wonder about this as well.....Perhaps ifwe thought more about the servers we'd get more server traffic and this more forum traffic....I don't know, perhaps we are hosting the wrong server type? Are we hosting the wrong games?? Is it just the maps??? Is it the fact we need to diversify mods???? Can someone explain why, despite having the most up-to date servers people who used to play on them now don't???? I can't fathom it out and I'm at a loss as to what we as a community need to do to bring us back to where we were 12 months ago with server traffic :(

I dunno, perhaps I'm just feeling a little "vexed" about the whole gaming scene at the moment. Spawnpoint bends over backwards to help out on the gaming serverfront, yet, we appear to lose server traffic...?

I can't seem to get as "up-beat" about playing games now as I used to....I find myself server hopping trying to find somewhere "exciting and fun" to play and struggling to meet my expectations.....

Perhaps i'll download and try some of the new "steam games" that appeared on my steam games list over the weekend and see if they're any fun.....otherwise i feel as though, with current entertainment values,my gaming days might be nearing an end.....

Do you know what? I never expect this day to be part of Spawnpoint. Just someoe give me the site where I can also post a blog and I'm glad that one of it is this site. It is my first time here and I hope that I'am welcome..XD
I will tell you about my blog focus or what do we call blog theme. My blog is more on games that I played. As far that I am a gamer I join this site to know more about the game that i played, Neosteam and other games.

I will give you a short description about the game....

Neosteam is a Steam punk Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game developed by Joyimpact and published by Hanbitsoft. Neosteam is a full 3D game with lush graphics that will surely enhance your gaming experience. You can choose from four different races and also contains 4 jobs with sub jobs for class diversity. Steam rides are also one of the best features of the game. You can choose from the basic Steam balloon to Steam Submarine to Steam Zeppelin and more.

Well It's 2am and I'm still up... *sigh* Debs...such a bad influence :-P (kidding of course hehe)

I'm supposed to be writing something funny and interesting, which I am neither so this might be difficult...lol.

Oh well...here it goes. I had a scary thought earlier while on a server. Debs was dealing with a rather...hrm...enthusiastic, shall we say...brand of idiot. And as I watched, I couldn't help but think of all the times I've had to deal with the same thing. Then it hit me, a thought so disturbing that I feel it should be shared.

First we'll start with this...

A friend sent this to me a while back, and it is the foundation to the horrific thought I had earlier.

Now...

Imagine all the ignorant fools out there...on the internet, and in the real world...they were the WINNERS! They were the fastest and they beat out the rest. Now just imagine what the losers would have been like...scary thought, no?

In the internet you come across an abundance of stupidity. For instance, someone comes to complain.. shall we say, of an admin abusing them, and their ranting hate filled post, that provides no information what so ever of what actually happened, and is written so that anyone with a basic knowledge of the english language would start bleeding from the eyes upon reading...was the smartest little sperm in the bunch.

Ok, this blog and as many of mine will be are more of a way to stress about my game play experiences. Along with the many things that everyone else sees but are to lazy and have so much more to do with their lives to mention(even to they play cs:s for most of the day).
My first thing i always see and reallly do not take much fancy for in the littlest is admins. Not to get myself missunderstood though not all admins are in my following catergories infact i hope to be an admin myself. The following types of admins i will be talking about are:
A)Lazy
B)Abusive
C)Friendly(bad way)
D)Short-Tempered
First is a lazy admin, these are the ones that are playing a game hears and sees that everyone hates this one guy and that he's being a jerk and most like on hacks, does nothing. Makes you wonder why they became admins in the first place. It's kinda like ordering a giant steak meal at a fancy resturant and then once the meal comes to you all you eat is the side of green beans then ask them to throw away the rest(i mean that's just messed up).
Ok the next ones i could go on and on about, but i won't, they are the abusive ones. These are the ones that will all of a sudden teleport behind you and knife you then less then 2 seconds are on the other side of the map killing the next guy. One time i was on and the admin set it so that we could only have a compact but he could chose and weapon he wanted. Sure we still owned him, but then he just set our health to ten. That's it for them.
The friendly ones aren't gonna have a long sections at all in tfact the longest part is gonna be me explaining how this is the longest part. These are the ones that you randomly see giving armor and full money to in the middle of a battle.
Oh then there's the Short-Tempered ones. These ones are the ones that after the second time of you killing them and saying "OWNED" your butt is kicked and even possibly banned. The only good part about these ones is after you learned they're short-tempered it's even easier to make fun of them.
*Just a reminder that not all admins fall into one of these catergories so don't blame me personally i'm just pointing out the bad ones that no one likes*

Second Anniversary

So,

Today is my second anniversary of being registered on spawnpoint.com, and, contrary to belief, I've NOT been here forever.

I still remember the exact time I signed up to the forums. I'd been playing on the UK Assault server for some time and had probably seen two admins play on it in about 2 months :(

There was a clan on at the time (vVv) Phil should remember them well, that were causing chaos and angst with their Team Attacking and Team Killing and had plunged to the mighty depths of three scores of -11, -9 and -7.

I signed up, posted in the RAI and thought nothing more of it, reckoning that, as admins rarely appeared that little would be done about it. I was pleasantly surprised to find, the very next day that Phil popped on to the server and chatted to me for a bit...apologising for being out the night before and giving me his email and steam friends id's.

It progressed from there........I met Sinnocence the admin on Assault then. I received admin the next week for the Assault server, which, trust me when i say, had a much more amateur set up than it does now. We had to use our c-exec bind at the start of every 45 minute game to sort out the round time, restrict the weapons and suchlike :eek:

Things progressed to the rest of the UK servers where I met Skydavo and Davie whoring it up on Dustfest and common Grounds.....:)

I then met Alpha, and, well.....there's a lot I could say about that time but I'll save that for a seperate Blog sometime soon ;) Let's just say that that "lady" deserves a whole heap of praise and thanks for the sheer amount of stuff she does behind the scenes. The late night ventrilo sessions with Alpha, stefan, Sapphy etc etc google Earthing each others houses were some of the funniest times....

It was January 2007 (Actually found out it was same day as my birthday) that I was invited to join the "staff" at spawnpoint. I was very proud, honoured and happy....See until then I just played on any SP server I felt like, my ping really didn't bother me or anyone else for that matter. I had become a regular on 174.5 and 108.4 by then and some of you must have really wondered why I persisted with a 200 latency and seven hour time difference ;)

Up until joining the staff, the then management, just kept giving me admin on the servers I asked for and, on hindsight, I really need to thank Starlog, Bullet, Hitman and Phil for answering my persistent questions as I looked to be "firm but fair" in my rulings. Perhaps my "stance" on rules made some people uncomfortable. Perhaps it made me appear to be"hard" butI guess I must have showed something.....

I'd especially like to thank Marty for his help in the earlier days. I know my "style" of rule enforcing is somewhat different to his, I know that my "attitude and mentalitytowards some things" also differs from his, and also know that we rarely actually "met" on any server at that time but, everytime I had a point of view on something, invariably, Marty would back me :)

Spawnpoint has been in a constant evolving state since I joined....It's evolving for the better I reckon.

With our new staff members, we have the core of a brilliant community.

Our community moderators make my new job that much easier.

Our server admin do a great job and, honestly, I don't think we tell you that enough....

Our community members (well most of you LOL) are great to play with and debate with and argue and bitch with....it's all part of the overall big picture.

Lastly to Tony, Thanks a heap for the trust and faith. You've brought spawnpoint on leaps and bounds since your appointment and you should be really proud of your achievements. I know you've taken a lot of flak in the past for some of your decisions but I reckon most of them have been for the greater good of spawnpoint.

Here's to the next few years of gaming.....onwards and upwards.....
